Today is a sad day for Hip Hop. Keith Elam aka Guru from the legendary crew Gang Starr has passed away after a battle with cancer. Now I’m sure you’ve seen the news somewhere else already, and if not just have a look on www.okayplayer.com. But I do have a few thoughts I’d like to share. First of all, I refuse to believe this “goodbye letter” is from the hand of Guru. If you haven’t seen it yet go check www.djpremierblog.com for that. But as I’ve been playing the Full Clip album a few times today, I realized how much Gang Starr meant for me and my “relationship” with Hip Hop. DJ Premier, keep ya head up, don’t let anybody tell you you are not part of the Gang Starr legacy!
